The “One Belt, One Road” Initiative Forum was closed in Beijing last month. As a world power straddling the Eurasia, Russia plays a big role in promoting the “Belt and Road” construction as the active respondent and participant. Therefore, the Russian steel standard is widely concerned by manufacturers of color coated steel coil, galvanized steel sheet and so on.

Gosudarstvennyy Standart(GOST) was the standard made by the Soviet Union government originally. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, GOST changes into regional standard and is managed by Euro-Asian Council for StandardizationMetrology and Certification(EASC). CAMELSTEEL known that GOST standard has been used by 12 countries in the fields of energy, gas and oil, environmental protection, construction, transportation, mining and food processing, etc.

At present, countries which totally or partially adopt GOST standard include Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Turkmenistan. Thereinto, standard used in Russia includes transnational standard GOST and national standard GOST R.
